JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Groundsman to start working ASAP. Faircape requires the services of reputable Groundsman. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Having Grade 12 will be advantageous.
- Must have 1 year’s relevant experience in a similar role
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have knowledge of plants and gardening techniques
- Must have knowledge of horticultural machinery and tools
- Must have knowledge of irrigation systems
- Must have ability to perform basic grounds maintenance tasks
- Must have ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Must have understanding of health and safety rules.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To clean workshop/canteen
- To clean around Body Corporate Reception, externally
- To open external dining area and courtyard umbrellas, weather permitting
- To clean grounds around security kiosk
- To inspect perimeter fence for weeds / vegetation, once per week
- To spray perimeter fence for weeds / vegetation, once per month.
