JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified General Worker to start working ASAP. Fraseralexander requires the services of reputable General Worker. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 or NQF4
- Having wastewater and water certificates will be advantageous
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good planning and organising.
- Must have teamwork and observant.
- Must have good listening skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To work with the supervisor to achieve the planned operational targets.
- To perform daily inspections in the designated area of responsibility.
- Planning and managing the water sites.
- To assist with problem-solving on operational challenges and report any deviations to the immediate supervisor.
- Adherence to all procedures in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Adherence to all safety rules and regulations as per all safety legislation and company procedures.
- To participate in all toolbox talks, risk assessments, Planned Task Observations and safety meetings.
- Cleaning of screens, grit channels, anoxic, aeration, clarifier, chlorine contact channel and sump basins.
- To conduct testing and recording MLSS, DSVI, RAS, SS, PH, DO, free and total chlorine, flow meter reading, screens, grit and breakdowns.
- Removing all dry sludge from drying beds and all other wastes.
- To check chlorine dosing and available stock levels.
- Opening and closing of valves in line with operational lines.
