JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Driver Conductor to start working ASAP. Unitrans requires the services of reputable Driver Conductor. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 or NQF4
- Job-specific training, and Driver’s license categories: CE – G, CE – PG, and C – G.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in the same or similar position.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good planning and organising.
- Must have teamwork and observant.
- Must have good listening skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To keep a log of activities and always record updated hours in the log book
- To maintain a positive attitude towards customers
- Do not deviate from your route on your own initiative or under the influence of employees
- To make stops only in places authorized by the company, unless instructed by your superior
- To access authorized locations, avoiding route deviations
- To respect signage and speed limit
- It is mandatory for drivers of motor vehicles to remove the keys from the ignition after mobilizing the vehicle before leaving
- To control of the ignition key is the driver’s responsibility while it is in his possession
- It is mandatory to start vehicles or equipment by positioning themselves inside the cabin
- It is mandatory to block the vehicle’s wheels with two chocks after parking
- It is mandatory to use seat belts for the driver and all occupants of the vehicle
- It is mandatory to drive with a valid driving license and RAC2 card
- To nsure the conservation and good use of vehicles
- To report to the Manager and Supervisor on duty any damage suffered to the vehicle resulting from its use
- To comply with the collection times described on the Job card.
