JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Frontshop Controller to start working ASAP. Shoprite Group requires the services of reputable Frontshop Controller. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;

  • Must have Grade 12.
  • Must have at least 5 months’ point of sale / till point experience within a retail environment.
  • Must have proven track record in retail sales, including experience working on the sales floor and behind the cash counter.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:  

The applicant must have the following skills and competences

  • Must have solid understanding of customer service principles.
  • Must have knowledgeable of stock receiving procedures and merchandising standards.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
  • Engaging and friendly personality.
  • Must be knowledgeable of payment procedures
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:

  • Handling of payments and balance sales and receipts according to company procedure.
  • Be aware of new products and keep your product knowledge up to date.
  • Restocking items and organizing the sales floor according to standard operating procedures.
  • Regularly conducting price audits to identify and rectify price discrepancies.
  • Processing customer payments using the stores’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Maintaining product knowledge to offer advice and recommendations.
  • To stay up to date on all promotions and special offers.
  • To maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • To conduct proper housekeeping.
  • To handle all customer queries timeously and escalate to higher management when necessary.
