JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Mechanic to start working ASAP. VKB Group requires the services of reputable Mechanic. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 / NQF 4
- Must have Completed N2 — Tractor Mechanic
- Must have 3–5 years’ experience as a mechanic.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have a sharp eye for detail — precise, thorough, accurate
- Must have knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems
- Must have a mindset that always looks for ways to add value
- Must have clear criminal record
- Must have a team-first attitude.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- Putting together spot-on quotations that match customer needs
- Servicing, repairing, and overhauling agricultural equipment
- To ensure that all work sheets for services rendered, are done according to VKB’s policies and procedures
- Playing it safe: sticking to all Health & Safety rules
- To build long-term relationships with customers and suppliers
- To correctly complete all guarantee claims and claims information
- Sharing your knowledge — mentoring others and living the VKB values
- Cross-marketing awesome VKB products and promotions
- Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and clients
- Tackling daily ad hoc tasks with a smile.
