JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Security officers to start working ASAP. Servest requires the services of reputable Security officers. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must Reside in Durban or Richards Bay
- Minimum 3 years’ security industry experience in a Managerial/Supervisory role
- Must have strong Administration, interpersonal communication and client liaison skills are required as the incumbent will be dealing directly with the client based at the site
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have Grade 12 & Computer Literacy
- PSIRA Grade A qualified
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Must Reside in Durban or Richards Bay
- Must have clear criminal record
- Minimum 3 years’ security industry experience in a managerial/Supervisory role Staff management experience
- Must have experience in disciplinary processes and procedures
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills as report writing is a pre-requisite
- Must have strong Administration, interpersonal communication and client liaison skills are required as the incumbent will be dealing directly with the client based at the site
- Strong planning, leadership, organizational skills
- Intermediate computer literacy is required
- Must have valid driver’s licence (essential) as patrols and surveillance will be required on site
- Conduct site inspections of allocated site and report on activities, results and recommendations
- Must be able to conduct Risk Assessments
- Must have experience in civil unrest / strike action will be advantageous.
- Must have investigative skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- The daily running of a site in liaison with the Operations Manager
- To attain and maintain a professional site standard.
- To build and maintain relationships with the client.
- To manage staff including recruitment, induction, performance management
- To train, development and supervising security officers on site.
- Responsible for all industrial relations and Health & Safety on site
- Report writing-Monthly reports and incident reports
- Creating site rosters.
- After hour’s site visits compulsory.
- Staffing-ensure site is covered as per contractual obligations.
- To record keeping of all administration for all activities on site
- To ensure compliance with Site Procedure Manual and facilitate optimal service delivery
