JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Accountant to start working ASAP. TWK Agri requires the services of reputable Accountant. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Matric / Grade 12
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Must have valid driver’s licence (Code 08)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting
- CA(SA) or similar professional qualification (advantageous)
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Must have understanding of the industry and its financial dynamics
- Must have strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans) (advantageous)
- Willing to travel
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- To ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions
- To support month-end and year-end closing processes
- To compile and analyze financial data for reporting
- To review financial statements for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Conduct regular general ledger audits and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure accuracy of accounting data through proper transaction recording
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Reconcile AP/AR balances and resolve issues
- Monitor cash flow and maintain liquidity
- Support budget and forecast preparation
- To monitor budgets and provide variance analysis
- To collaborate with departments on budget requirements
- To develop and implement internal controls
- To assist with audit preparation and documentation
- Identify financial risks and suggest mitigation strategies
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting
- To provide financial insights for strategic decisions
- To collaborate with teams to support financial planning
- To communicate financial updates to management and stakeholders
