JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Waiter/Waitress to start working ASAP. Food Lover’s Market requires the services of reputable Waiter/Waitress. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Matric
- Must have experience as Waiter/Waitress
- Must be fluent in English
- Within 25km from job
- Must have clear criminal record
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have good verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent people skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To greet customers and hand out menus
- Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen
- To make menu recommendations and inform customers of any specials
- To deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared
- Check that customers are satisfied with their meal
- Prepare the bill for tables when requested
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash handling procedures
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
- Observe relevant health and safety standards
- To maintain clean and hygienic work station
- To maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements when needed
- To utilize strong organizational skills to ensure efficient operations
- To demonstrate strong numeric skills for precise measurement and accurate cash handling
- To serve customers quickly and efficiently by maintaining a positive attitude and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers
