JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Casual Merchandiser to start working ASAP. Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires the services of reputable Casual Merchandiser. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 / Matric
- Must have Up to 6 months’ retail experience
- Must be Computer literate – MS Office
- Must be willing and able to work retail hours
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must be willing and able to work retail hours
- Must be able and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes, and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
- Must have reliable transport and/or reside in close proximity to the store
- Must be South African citizen
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To restock merchandise as needed to ensure maximum sales
- To ensure delivered stock/stock pulled from the storeroom, is stored and packed in the correct space timeously
- To ensure stock on shelves has not reached sell-by date
- To ensure the full range of products is on the shelves at all times
- To facilitate rotation of stock on a regular, FIFO basis
- To report low stock levels, out-of-stock items, damaged stock and expired stock to management
- To assist with counting of stock files and general stocktaking
- To adhere to Dis-Chem’s operating standards, store layout and planograms
- To ensure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock, and taken to the designated area
- To ensure front shop shelves and products are neatly presented and visible at all times, with correct labels and pricing
- To report all price discrepancies to management
- To keep abreast of current and new products
- To ensure merchandising displays are built, faced up, stocked and maintained
