JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Accountant to start working ASAP. TWK Agri requires the services of reputable Accountant. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;

  • Must have Matric / Grade 12
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Must have Professional certification in Accounting
  • Must have 3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:  

The applicant must have the following skills and competences

  • Must have understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Must have familiarity with payroll processing, marketing finance and IT financial management
  • Must have knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards
  • Must have awareness of the agriculture industry’s financial dynamics and challenges
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Must have proficiency in Accounting Software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Must have effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Must have valid driver’s license (Code 08)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:

  • To maintain financial records and cost allocation models for Shared Services departments
  • To process and record transactions including payroll, marketing, legal, HR, IT and admin-related expenses
  • To assist in accurate and compliant payroll processing and submissions
  • To collaborate with the marketing team to analyse spend and provide financial insights
  • To support IT with tracking of expenditure, technology investments, and financial reporting
  • To update and maintain the IT cost allocation model and assist in managing the IT asset register
  • To prepare and reconcile general ledger entries and journals for all Shared Services units
  • To compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports and assist with AFS preparation
  • To monitor expenditure against budgets, investigate variances and report to management
  • To coordinate and support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • To manage accruals, provisions, recharges and internal cost allocations
  • To assist with procurement-related processes, including verifying supplier information and ensuring financial controls
  • To ensure compliance with financial policies, IFRS and applicable legislation
  • To support both internal and external audits by providing information, reports and resolving audit queries
  • To contribute to the implementation of best practices to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
