JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Casual Frontshop Assistant to start working ASAP. Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires the services of reputable Casual Frontshop Assistant. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate
- Must have 0 – 6 Months Retail work experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have knowledge of retail operations and administration
- Must have ability to find solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem and what level to escalate it to.
- Must have comprehending fundamental arithmetic’s like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must have ability to convey ideas and facts verbally using language
- Must have address customer questions in a timely manner
- Must have ability to recognize the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures.
- Must have ability to take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To ensure that full ranges of products are on the shelves at all times and neatly presented.
- To maintain the stock on the shelves to ensure it has not reached its sell by date.
- To restock merchandise when needed to ensure maximum sales.
- All out of stock queries from customers must be followed up on, in line with the customer service out of stock list and ensure they are dealt with in a timeous manner.
- To ensure delivered stock and/ or stock pulled from the storeroom are stored and packed in the correct space.
- To ensure merchandise displays, labels and pricing are correct at all times and report all price discrepancies to management.
- To ensure the storeroom organised, neat and tidy.
- To keep up to date with new product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
- To assist with restocking of merchandise and supplies when needed to ensure maximum sales.
- To assist with back shopping when required.
- To ensure all merchandise must be handled carefully to prevent any losses.
- To transact all purchases – receive, verify and processes all payments such as cash, cards, vouchers, coupons and any other acceptable payments.
- To exchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods by customers when authorised to do so by the Frontshop Leader.
- To process all loyalty cards including those of accelerated partners.
- To ensure cash is placed in the drop safe according to standard operating procedures.
- To ensure all line voids and price changes are approved and signed by a Frontshop Leader and/ or Retail Store Assistant.
- To ensure accurate cash flow at all times.
- To acilitate rotation of stoke on a regular basis and adhere to Dis-Chem stock control procedures.
- To report low stock levels, items that are out of stock, damaged stock and expired stock to management.
- To assist with the counting of stock files and general stocktaking.
- To identify and report damaged and expired stock immediately to management.
- To assist with the loading and off-loading of stock when needed.
- To ensure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock and taken to the designated area.
