JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Retail Store Assistant to start working ASAP. Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires the services of reputable Retail Store Assistant. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 / Matric
- Must have basic computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook). SAP.
- Must have retail experience
- Must be South African citizen
- Must have clear criminal and credit
- Must have driver’s license and/or own reliable transport.

- Must have retail administration and operational knowledge
- Must be team player, good customer relations
- Must have leadership and management skills
- Must have trustworthy and honesty
- Must have ability to work under pressure
- Must be deadline driven
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To manage and report all customer complements and complaints to management.
- To establish a professional relationship with customers.
- To ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved.
- To maintain effective external communication with customers when they require feedback.
- To assist customer with any enquiries and refer customers to the appropriate departments where applicable.
- To adhere to the customer turnover per hour rate as per company benchmark.
- To manage the shorts and overs at the point of sale, including the floats.
- To manage refund and return transactions.
- To ensure that back shopping and returned goods are handled correctly.
- To verify and review deliveries and invoices for total accuracy.
- To assist the Receiving Manager in preparing and logging Distribution Centre claims on the Distribution Centre claims system.
- To manage and control high risk stock
- To prepare the run reconciliation on a daily basis.
- To prepare, order and receive the branch change requirements to ensure cashiers have enough change to ensure the best customer service levels.
- To maintain effective liaison between relevant parties.
- To maintain effective document control including but not limited to float, petty cash, cash on hand.
