JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Broker Manager to start working ASAP. TWK Agri requires the services of reputable Broker Manager. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, risk management or insurance (advantageous)
- Must have RE5, RE1, FAIS credits
- NQF 4/5 in Insurance
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have minimum 5 years’ experience in the short-term insurance industry
- Must have at least 3 years’ managerial experience in broker management
- Must have strong leadership, business development and client relationship skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of short-term insurance products and regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Must have bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
- Must have excellent leadership and mentoring ability
- Must have strong business development and negotiation skills
- Must have analytical, resilient and adaptable with high attention to detail
- Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must have valid driver’s licence (Code 08)
- Willing to travel
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To lead, manage and mentor a team of short-term insurance brokers
- To conduct performance reviews, provide feedback and support professional growth
- To set performance targets, monitor progress and ensure compliance with industry standards
- To oversee commission structures and incentives to drive performance
- To identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the portfolio
- To develop and implement sales strategies with brokers for client acquisition and retention
- Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to enhance market visibility
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Act as point of escalation for complex client queries and ensure timely resolution
- Stay updated on short-term insurance products, pricing, regulations and market trends
- To provide product training and sales support to brokers
- To liaise with insurers to secure competitive offerings and favorable terms
- To monitor portfolio performance, track financial metrics and report to senior management
- To represent TWK Agri at industry events and networking opportunities
- To oversee risk assessment and mitigation processes within the portfolio
