JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Laundry Shift Leader to start working ASAP. Fancourt requires the services of reputable Laundry Shift Leader. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have minimum of qualification of Grade 12 (or equivalent NQF 4 certificate)
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a laundry environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have passion for the industry with the ability to maintain the Leading Hotel of the Worlds standards.
- Must be physically fit in order to lift and carry heavy bags
- Must be accurate in counting stock and pay attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To ensure stock control of rooms linen by carrying out monthly stock takes
- To ensure counting of linen – going and coming from outside service providers
- To ensure that departments are not abusing linen by performing frequent on the job training with Housemen and Room Attendants on the handling of linen
- To report and maintain quality of linen
- To ensure that all guest laundry and dry cleaning is billed and handed over to the Front Office for charging to guest accounts
- To recommend change and improvements to the Laundry operation to ensure the achievement of set objectives.
