JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Kitchen Supervisor to start working ASAP. Empact Group requires the services of reputable Kitchen Supervisor. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have relevant tertiary qualification in food and beverage services or culinary arts is compulsory.
- Must have minimum 3 Years of experience of progressive/kitchen management is compulsory.
- Must have experience working within budget guidelines to deliver results is compulsory.
- Must have high Volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
- Having Hospital experience is an advantage.
- Must have special diets knowledge.
- Must have healthcare experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have knowledge of the catering environment ranging from fine dining to restaurant dining.
- Must have knowledge of South African and industry-specific laws.
- Must have customer Service Skills.
- Must have management Skills.
- Must have communication Skills.
- Must have exceptional Functions Skills.
- Must have ability to balance the budget and save on soft costs.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have HSE knowledge.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To assist with managing daily operations of the assigned unit.
- To assist with implementation of the production process.
- To assist with managing food/labour costs.
- Overall understanding of HACCP.
- To develop and plan menus.
- To ensure kitchen brigade management.
- To assist in the management of the strategic and day to day operations of the operation.
