DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To lead, supervise and inspire our Carer Team to deliver outstanding physical, social, and emotional support to all residents/patients.
- Ensuring care plans are properly executed and charted on the online internal system.
- To monitor compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence and reporting any non-compliance to the Carer Manager.
- To conduct probation assessments, and ensure that performance documentation is completed and submitted timeously.
- To address disciplinary issues by reporting and investigating incidents, logging them with HR, and issuing necessary outcomes in accordance with the company’s guidelines.
- To ensure that each shift is adequately staffed, and that leave requests (annual, sick, or family responsibility) are accurate, submitted promptly, and planned in advance.
- To ensure staff are presentable and well-groomed at all times, this would include ensuring staff are wearing correct uniforms.
- To conduct direct intervention training and identify any gaps in knowledge or skills within the team, ensuring that they are promptly addressed.
- To ensure carers respond promptly to call bells, panic buttons, and emergency situations, while also providing assistance to the team with care tasks and activities as needed.
- To collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support for residents/patients.
- To participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new carers, ensuring they meet facility standards.
- To ensure equipment allocated to staff is securely stored, checked, and accounted for at the end of each shift. Additionally, ensure healthcare inventory supplies are accurately issued and maintained with regular inspections.
