JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Casual Cashier to start working ASAP. Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires the services of reputable Casual Cashier. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 / Matric
- Must have a minimum of 6 months’ experience cashier/till operations experience
- Must be Computer literate – MS Office
- Must have sound numerical skills
- Must have strong command of the English language
- Must have basic customer service
- Must be willing and able to work retail hours.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have in-depth knowledge of operating cash registers, and maintaining cash drawers
- Must have knowledge of processing sales, refunds and payments
- Must have accuracy
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be presentable
- Must have emotional intelligence
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To establish a professional relationship with customers
- To report customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor, or store management
- To adhere to the customer turnover hourly rate
- To be aware of current sales and promotions
- To ensure colleagues and customers are not exposed to any risk
- To carry out and manage Dis-Chem 5 star communication principles
- To be responsible for cash flow
- To ensure all line voids and price changes are approved and signed off by the supervisor
- To exchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods by customers when authorised to do so
- To transact all purchases – receive and process all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, other forms of payments) accepted by Dis-Chem.
