JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Casual Frontshop Assistant to start working ASAP. Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires the services of reputable Casual Frontshop Assistant. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have grade 12 / Matric
- Must have a minimum of 6 Months Retail work experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have knowledge of retail operations and administration
- finds solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem and what level to escalate it to.
- Comprehending fundamental arithmetic’s like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Conveys ideas and facts verbally using language
- Addresses customer questions in a timely manner
- Recognises the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures.
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To exchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods by customers when authorised to do so by the Frontshop Leader.
- To process all loyalty cards including those of accelerated partners.
- To ensure cash is placed in the drop safe according to standard operating procedures.
- To ensure all line voids and price changes are approved and signed by a Frontshop Leader and/ or Retail Store Assistant.
- To ensure accurate cash flow at all times.
- To facilitate rotation of stoke on a regular basis and adhere to Dis-Chem stock control procedures.
- To report low stock levels, items that are out of stock, damaged stock and expired stock to management.
- To assist with the counting of stock files and general stocktaking.
- To identify and report damaged and expired stock immediately to management.
- To assist with the loading and off-loading of stock when needed.
- To ensure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock and taken to the designated area.
- To establish a professional relationship with customers and provide friendly, helpful, courteous assistance and advice to all customers.
- To report customer compliments and complaints to management.
