JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Junior Chef to start working ASAP. Empact Group requires the services of reputable Junior Chef. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary school training.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles and practices
- Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must have ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must have valid food handler’s certification.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes in accordance with set recipes and standards
- To ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and guidelines in the kitchen
- To monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure safe operation
- To keep work areas clean and sanitized at all times
- To follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety
- To assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
