JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Security Supervisor Grade B to start working ASAP. Servest requires the services of reputable Security Supervisor Grade B. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric / Grade 12
- Must have Valid PSIRA Grade B Certificate
- Must have minimum 2–3 years’ experience in the security industry
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Reaction Officer or in armed response
- Must have experience in patrolling, alarm response, and emergency handling.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have no criminal record (clear fingerprint clearance from SAPS).
- Must have armed reaction course
- Must have valid driver’s licence (Code 8/B or higher) more than 2 years
- Must have medical fitness certificate
- Must reside in Secunda.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To develop and maintain an effective information network enabling the collection, evaluation and co-ordination of information from sources within and without the company, contributing to the detection and prevention of offences relating to fraud and theft.
- Reporting of all crime and mine related information to the Shift Supervisor, his delegate or any other appointee.
- Investigation of all criminal activities, crime scenes and management of such scenes inclusive of reporting such actions to Shift Supervisor without delay.
- To monitor the application of security measures on the client’s premises and report the results thereof to the Shift Supervisor.
- Parades must be held 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the shift at the designated area.
- To ensure that vehicle is inspected and in good operating order to perform your duties.
- To arrest any person committing a crime, which warrants an arrest as per Schedule Offences as per Criminal Procedures Act and Explosive Law.
- To investigate all irregularities and any suspicions reported to you.
- To contact the Security Control Room (TCS) immediately when suspicions and irregularities are positive.
