JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Storeperson to start working ASAP. Fedics requires the services of reputable Storeperson. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 (Matric).
- Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or similar role within hospitality, catering, retail, or food service environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and stock management systems.
- Must have sound understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
- Must have knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Must have good numerical and administrative skills.
- Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure all stock is stored correctly and in compliance with food safety and company standards.
- Issue stock to operational departments according to requisitions and operational requirements.
- To conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly stocktakes.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- To maintain accurate stock records and inventory management systems.
- To ensure storerooms, freezers, and refrigeration areas are clean, organized, and secure.
- To follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation principles.
- To assist with cost control initiatives by minimizing wastage and stock losses.
- Adhere to health, safety, food safety, and company policies at all times.
