JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Underwriter to start working ASAP. TWK Agri requires the services of reputable Underwriter. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric / Grade 12
- Must have relevant qualification
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have 2–3 years underwriting experience in insurance
- Must have a relevant degree in Finance, Insurance or Business (advantageous)
- Must have RE5 certification (advantageous)
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Customer-focused with solid problem-solving ability
- Must have ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- Primary focus on Short-term policy underwriting/renewals
- To evaluate insurance applications and renewals
- To make informed underwriting decisions aligned with company strategy
- To prepare and maintain policy documentation in line with legal standards
- To support clients and brokers with underwriting queries, quotations, and renewals
- To ensure compliance with industry regulations (FAIS, POPIA, etc.)
- To analyze underwriting data and contribute to process improvements
