JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Waiter to start working ASAP. Tsebo Solutions requires the services of reputable Waiter. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric
- Must have 5 – 6 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Having Culinary qualification would be advantageous:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have endurance to walk and stand for long hours.
- Must have ability to flexible work hours.
- Must have ability to remain calm and professional with difficult customers.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have coordination to carry plates or trays without dropping anything.
- Must have trustworthy and Reliable
- Must have good personal hygiene.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To monitor that plates, cutlery and glassware are clean, polished and in good condition.
- To control dining areas including their floor and wall surfaces, tables and serving stations and ensure appropriate cleanliness.
- To assist clients with special needs following relevant guidelines and special standards.
- To welcome guests in a friendly manner in a certain place.
- To organise menus taking into account the nature and style of the establishment, client feedback, cost and the seasonality of ingredients.
- To ensure all waiters are providing excellent customer service in accordance to company policy.
- To process payments such as cash, credit cards and debit cards.
- To control the menu in order to ensure that prices are correct and up-to-date.
- To oversee that the billing procedure after a service is handled correctly.
- To control table settings in order to ensure a correct table setup, including cutlery and glassware.
- To build a lasting and meaningful relationship with customers in order to ensure satisfaction and fidelity by providing accurate and friendly advice and support, by delivering quality products and services and by supplying after-sales information and service.
- To evaluate customer’s comments in order to find out whether customers feel satisfied or dissatisfied with the product or service..
